Understanding Our Teachers’ Qualifications

  • Specialist training for teaching babies, toddlers and preschool children with their grown-up in the water. This includes early development, safe support, water confidence and learning through songs, play and sensory experiences.

  • Qualified to teach independent Learn to Swim lessons, including water confidence, water safety, swimming technique and stroke development.

  • Additional specialist training in sensory-based learning, early child development and gentle water experiences. This knowledge helps shape our approach to supporting babies and young children through calm, responsive and confidence-building experiences in the water.

  • The techniques and strategies learned through this training are embedded within Tiny Swimming’s in-house mentoring, helping every teacher build trust, confidence and positive experiences in the water.

    Sarah founded Tiny Swimming to create the kind of swimming experience she wanted for her own children: small, supportive classes where every child feels understood.

    She teaches Baby & Preschool and Learn to Swim lessons and personally develops Tiny Swimming’s schemes of work. Sarah is passionate about child-led learning, water safety and helping nervous swimmers grow in confidence at their own pace.

    Caring and supportive, Amy has a particular passion for teaching children with additional needs. She leads specialist SEND lessons alongside her regular weekend classes, using signs, songs and clear communication to help every child feel included, understood and confident.

His positive and encouraging approach helps children enjoy their lessons while developing confidence, technique and strong swimming skills.
