What is Turtles Touch?
Turtles Touch is Tiny Swimming’s Aqua Sensory® Bath Babies programme — a gentle, baby-led introduction to water for babies aged 6 weeks to 4 months.
Each baby has their own individual warm bath while you remain beside them. Your teacher guides you through gentle movement, nurturing touch and sensory water activities, helping you and your baby explore water together at your own pace.
Not a traditional swimming lesson
Turtles Touch takes place in individual warm baths rather than a swimming pool. It’s a calm first step for families who may later want to progress to baby swimming.

Turtles Touch is a gentle introduction to water rather than a traditional swimming lesson. It takes place in individual warm baths and focuses on connection, nurturing touch and positive early water experiences.
It can be a lovely first step before progressing to our Baby Turtles swimming lessons.

Not at all. The course does not take place in a swimming pool, and no swimming experience is required.

Yes. Mums, dads, partners and other caregivers are all welcome to take part.

No. Turtles Touch does not include underwater submersions.

No. Each baby has their own individual baby bath, and you will remain beside your baby throughout the water activities.

You are welcome to feed your baby whenever they need it. Our sessions are deliberately calm and unhurried, with time allowed for feeding, changing and cuddling.

That is completely normal. You will never be expected to wake your baby or continue an activity when they need a break. You can cuddle, feed, watch or simply enjoy being part of the group.

To maintain a calm environment and allow you to remain safely focused on your baby beside the bath, please contact us before bringing another child. We will always try to help where possible.
