At Tiny Swimming, we believe every milestone deserves a celebration! Our award scheme is designed to motivate your little one, building their confidence through fun, play, and a sense of achievement.
We follow the Swim England 'Learn to Swim' Pre-School Framework, a nationally recognised programme that ensures your child is learning vital safety skills alongside their swimming technique.
Stage 1: Discovery Duckling Awards
Perfect for: Our youngest swimmers (6 weeks to 2 years)
These are the very first awards your child will earn. They are all about building a positive relationship with the water.
Discovery Duckling 1-4: Focuses on sensory play, safe entry with adult support, and starting to move through the water with confidence.
Reward: A colourful certificate and a woven badge to celebrate their first aquatic steps.
Stage 2: Duckling Awards
Perfect for: Toddlers becoming more independent (2 to 4 years)
As your child grows, so does their independence. These awards mark the transition from being fully supported to moving freely.
Duckling 1-4: Focuses on following instructions, blowing bubbles, floating, and starting to travel through the water without constant physical support.
Reward: Certificates and badges that show your child is becoming a "confident little duckling."
Stage 3: Transition Turtles (Learn to Swim Stages 1-7)
Perfect for: Our independent swimmers (4+ years)
Once your child is ready to swim independently, they move into the main Learn to Swim Framework. This is where they refine their strokes (Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke) and master deep-water safety.
How it Works
Child-Led Progress: We never rush an award. Every child develops at their own pace, and we wait until they are truly confident in a skill before marking it as complete.
Online Tracking: You can stay updated on your child’s journey through our online portal.
Badges & Certificates: When a level is completed, you will receive a digital certificate. You can also purchase our high-quality woven badges—perfect for sewing onto swimming towels!
