At Tiny Swimming, we believe every milestone deserves a celebration! Our award scheme is designed to motivate your little one, building their confidence through fun, play, and a sense of achievement.

Our Swim England Award Scheme

We follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework, a nationally recognised programme that ensures your child is learning vital water safety skills alongside their swimming technique.

Discovery Duckling Awards

Perfect for: Our youngest swimmers, from 6 weeks to 2 years.

These are the very first awards your child will earn. They focus on building a positive relationship with the water through sensory play, supported movement and safe entry.

Reward: A colourful certificate and woven badge to celebrate their first aquatic steps.

Duckling Awards

Perfect for: Toddlers becoming more independent, usually aged 2 to 4 years.

As your child grows, so does their independence. These awards help children follow instructions, blow bubbles, float and begin travelling through the water with less support.

Reward: Certificates and badges that celebrate growing water confidence.

Learn to Swim Stages 1–7

Perfect for: Independent swimmers, typically aged 4 years and over.

Once children are ready to swim without adult support, they progress into the nationally recognised Swim England Learn to Swim Framework. Across seven stages, swimmers develop water confidence, refine all four strokes, improve endurance and learn valuable water safety skills.

Stage 1

Building water confidence, floating and gliding.

Stage 2

Developing independent swimming and movement.

Stage 3

Longer swims, underwater confidence and water safety.

Stage 4

Developing all four swimming strokes.

Stage 5

Refining technique and deep water skills.

Stage 6

Building endurance, breathing and rescue skills.

Stage 7

Confident swimming and advanced techniques.

  • Online Tracking: You can stay updated on your child’s journey through our online portal.
  • Badges & Certificates: When a level is completed, you will receive a digital certificate. You can also purchase our high-quality woven badges.
